About

Originally, a simple rolled magazine inspired my art. I was intrigued by the beauty and texture that was created by fanning the edges of the pages. Immediately, I began cutting, folding and manipulating by hand—transforming the pages into three-dimensional images.

My objective is to capture the fine line between recognizing something familiar—an everyday material—and transforming that material into an image that causes the viewer to be curiously drawn into what they are seeing and to discover the unique and unexpected. My paper art continues to evolve through experimentation; the color, text and imagery on each page inspire new techniques of sculpting.

I’ve always been fascinated with material based art. Now, with recycled magazine pages as my medium, I create designs that challenge my creativity and my problem solving skills. Most importantly, I find my art relaxing and fun.
